Responsibilities
In all organizations, each member has a duty to fulfill in order
for the group to achieve its goals. Our troop is not any different in design or
structure so each of us must abide by the rules as set forth.
Each scout must participate to the fullest that he is asked
in order to maintain the integrity of the group. The primary concern is communication
and the obtaining of information through the troop.
Scouts
Each scout is to contact their patrol leader on a weekly
basis to verify all information that may or may not be information that he already
knows. The contact should be by phone or in person, leaving a message is not contact.
Patrol leaders
Each patrol leader is to contact the Senior Patrol Leader
weekly to report the activity of his patrol. This will include who is and is not
coming to the next meeting or campout and what activity his patrol will be doing
at the meeting.
Senior Patrol Leader
The Senor patrol Leader is to contact the scoutmaster
to confirm the agenda for the next meeting or campout and to state how many scouts
will be in attendance. If the agenda changes from the stated weekly planner
for the meeting, then he is to call all the patrol leaders with the information
changes and then the patrol leader are to call each scout in his patrol.
With the number of scouts we have it is extremely important
that each does his part to make the troop meetings flow smoothly. If you are having
any problems contacting you up line, please call me and we will correct the problem
immediately. If you miss out on some information that affects your activity within
the troop and have not done your part to obtain the information, then you have only
yourself to blame for not being able to enjoy your scouting experience to the fullest.
